Congratulations to Komal Patel! Komal was selected as the first-ever recipient of the Diya Microfinance Summer Fellowship – a unique program that will fund her to travel to India, gain hands on experience working with loan officers, get a “behind-the-scenes” understanding of MFIs and help develop new sustainability initiatives. This internship is completely funded by Duke Diya and by funds raised for the Duke Microfinance Leadership Initiative at Awaaz 2009.
