Open Dialogues on Gender Violence Awareness

Diya invites all its members and the rest of the Duke community to an open discussion on gender roles and gender violence on Monday, October 28, in McClendon 2nd floor. Social worker and Women’s Center advocate Sheila Broderick will be in attendance, and the discussion itself will be led by fellow Duke students. We will discuss gender in the context of Duke’s social life, academic life, and countless other groups in order to identify some of the issues in our community. Also, we will try to see how race plays into all of this! While we plan on maintaining a focus on the South Asian community, this event is for students of all backgrounds! So, please join us in these open dialogues that challenge our perceptions and ultimately help Duke become a better, safer place! Join the FB event here for updates!

Monday October 28th 6:30 – 8:30 pm on McClendon 2nd floor
